Req# Primary Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for leading architecture of storage protocol firmware drivers of the next generation SAS/SATA RAID controller. Will participate in all aspects of a new design and product development through introduction and release. Duties will include architecting, development of prototype code, and working with development team for complete implementation

Education Requirement or Equivalent:

BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering required, MS preferred.

Experience Requirement:

10 years firmware development experience with BS, 8 years firmware development experience with MS.


Special Skills or Knowledge Required:

•Extensive programming in C and C++, is required
•Candidate must have an excellent computer science background and demonstrated strength in designing efficient firmware code
•Solid background in software and firmware development, a demonstrated ability to lead development projects and deliver products on time with good quality
•In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with storage protocols is required (SAS/SATA/FC)
•Excellent understanding of multi-tasking operating systems and experience using ThreadX, u-VelOSity or other commercial real time operating systems is required
•In-depth knowledge and experience with the development of storage products is required
•Must be able to work with ASIC and software engineers in a small team environment
•Must be self-motivated with excellent problem solving skills, and have good written and verbal communication skills
•Experience with PowerPC or other 32-bit RISC micro-controllers is preferred.
•Overall knowledge of the storage industry is a plus.
