Primary Job Responsibilities:

Primary Job Responsibilities: This employee, part of the global IT team, would perform all systems administration for the AMCC Design Center in Vietnam. This would include administration for all Linux compute servers, Windows-based servers and PCs, storage, backup and network infrastructure. Support applications such as Windows Desktop applications, version control system, and electronic design automation. Provide user support for Windows PCs and Linux servers including all troubleshooting and problem resolution

Education Requirement or Equivalent:

Education Requirement or Equivalent: College degree or equivalent experience in Information Systems, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering.

Experience Requirement:

Experience Requirement: 5 to 7 years System Administration experience

Special Skills or Knowledge Required:

Special Skills or Knowledge Required: Mandatory - Strong operating system background in Linux, Solaris, and Windows - Strong English skills, both verbal and written. - Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills. - Ability to work independently. - Scripting skills (perl, csh, ksh). - Windows administration (printing, imaging, support, upgrades). Desirable - EDA (Electronic Design Automation) experience - Background with GRID computing (LSF, GRID Engine) desirable - Network Appliance Fileservers - Veritas Backup - NIS and DNS Administration Nice to Have - Network and security/firewall experience (Cisco, Checkpoint)
