- Initiate and conduct firmware test cases during firmware development phase by work with FW developers to create infrastructure for firmware test coverage mapping, function performance profiling, and create firmware validation suites. - Write & execute product test procedures, implement manual or automated test suite, to validate product firmware functionality, reliability, and provide comprehensive test reports. - Identify firmware-related bug and use of bug tracking submit or close of assigned bug. - Work with hardware and firmware teams to solicit feedback for designing test cases. - Prepare & participate in internal reviews of test scripts, test plan, and product release to manufacturing
Education Requirement or Equivalent:
BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering or equivalent required
Experience Requirement:
Requires 6+ years of experience in firmware testing
Special Skills or Knowledge Required:
Understand / ability to script in C and C++ is required. In-depth knowledge and experience with the development of storage products is preferred. Some knowledge of SAS/SCSI, ATA/SATA and/or RAID is preferred. Skills should include code design, debugging, and testing firmware. Must be able to work with ASIC and software engineers in a small team environment. Motivated by solving real customer problems. Strong in problem troubleshooting and problem solving
