As a key member of the Central Engineering team, you will have the following responsibilities:
Lead the new technology evaluation of our low power processor and high speed transport product roadmaps to speed up and best guide our node selection process. The assignment also includes extrapolating the vital power/leakage/size information based on small scope specific circuit topology simulation/emulation results.
Design, measure, and analyze the test chips on custom devices, small circuits, and RF structures and correlate the results of DUT with the custom models.
Support our Digital and Analog & Mixed-Signal design teams in the area of device usage, statistical simulation, parasitic extraction, substrate noise coupling, smart fill, EM, IO/ESD, DFM and product tape out.
Perform and improve the model regression/validation, debug the foundry spectre and Hpsice model files, perform model creation, merging, and modification if needed.
Education Requirement or Equivalent:
PhD in Electrical Engineering, Material or Applied Physics.
Experience Requirement:
5+ years industry work experience in related fields.
Special Skills or Knowledge Required:
In-depth understanding of semiconductor process, modern active (MOS, Bipolar) and passive device models, knowledge of basic circuit design, noise, leakage mechanism, Cadence Virtuoso schematic capture and simulation flow.
